Ad policy

This advertising policy applies to advertising placed for Auto Carpages, known as 'the publication', and also on motorcarpages.co.uk, known as 'the website'.  This document outlines what these publications and websites will and will not publish. This policy is designed to prevent our customers from advertising items which are either illegal in the UK or prohibited by Loot or Bargain Pages.
All adverts which contravene this policy will not be published. You may still be charged at the time your advert is processed online.
This policy is made up of two sections;

• Restrictions on adverts placed within the publication and on the website?

How do the publication and websites define private and trade adverts?

Private advert

• Advertisements for privately owned items
• Listings for ‘Wanted’ items or services
• General public notifications, such as Lost & Found, or Community Events

Trade adverts

• Promote a business or service for which payment is expected
• Advertise items that can only be used for a business purpose

Unsure whether your advert should be private or trade?
If you are unsure whether your advert classifies as trade or private then please ask yourself the following questions.

• Am I advertising a business?
• Am I advertising a service for which I am expecting payment?
• Am I advertising large quantities of the same item which could be considered to be manufacturing or distribution?
• Am I selling an item which is used purely for a business purpose (i.e. a coin-operated sunbed / an articulated lorry)?
• Am I asking customers to visit a specific business location or website?

What items am I NOT allowed to advertise?
Loot/Bargain Pages will not publish adverts for items that are illegal in the UK. Loot and Bargain Pages also prohibits certain adverts due to the nature of the item advertised.
The restrictions highlighted in this advertising policy are NOT absolute. We reserve the right to prohibit any advert (across all sections) should we feel that it is inappropriate for publication. We reserve the right to change the Loot/Bargain Pages Private Advertising Policy at any time.

• Loot/Bargain Pages will publish adverts offering such equipment as long as the wording is kept to a bare minimum such as make and model.

Loot/Bargain Pages will not publish any adverts for incomplete stereo units such as front panels or back boxes.
